St. Michael’s convent Kannada section has its own accommodation and it consists of std I to std VII with many other facilities such as free government text books, scholarships, mid – day meals, computer room, audio – visual room, well cleaned toilets, filtered drinking water facility etc. Along with the core subjects additional subjects like drawing, crafts, P.E, computer are taught which provides the base for a child’s future, intellectual development and progress. They are being prepared for learning the fundamentals of reading, writing, arithmetic, discipline and moral values. As they begin their journey to primary class I-V, they are introduced to a new curriculum that provides them with advanced learning. The faculty emphasizes mainly on conversational skills, reading, writing and mental math. The creativity of students is developed and nurtured through various extra-curricular activities like recitation, singing, quiz, flower arrangement, fancy dress, sports, art and craft.
The primary education serves as an intermediate phase between the conceptual learning stage to the career building stage. In this crucial phase, every aspect of learning i.e., academics, inculcating values, discipline etc is closely taken care of. Regular usage of worksheets in all subjects encourages the students to grasp the topics better, further ensuring adequate practice in the same. Team work is encouraged through games and projects. Students are encouraged to make projects in the classroom under the teacher’s supervision, which help them to learn the concepts better. The students are groomed to hone their reading and listening skills for better learning of languages. Regular practice of reading, speaking and listening comprehension helps them to develop their absorption skills. Our curriculum consists of application-based learning method. Each subject i.e. English, Kannada, Hindi (III till V), EVS, Mathematic, and additional subjects like computer, value education, drawing and craft are catered to them with the basic concept of learning by doing.
Remedial Class:
We conduct remedial classes, to help struggling learners and provide extra support to help them catch up with their peers. Students benefit through these classes as they get individual attention and positive responses to their queries. We conduct remedial classes for slow learners after school.

The Students of VI to X are provided with a significant understanding of each subject. Once the foundation of learning is established in the primary classes, they are further provided with the required academic rigor to prepare them for the upcoming challenges. We provide our students with an integrated knowledge of science, technology, and mathematics in an easily comprehensible manner through our unique teaching methods. Teachers use various techniques to inculcate the discipline of learning in them. They encourage students to perform role-plays, make projects, prepare charts which helps them to grasp the practical knowledge of the subject and promote creativity through prose and poetry.
